Lewis Carroll, born 1832, became world well-known as an author of as famous books as Alice in the miracle country, Alice behind the mirrors, the Nonsense poem: "The Hunting of the Snark" as well as the letters to small girls. To a large extent unknown however books remained to mathematics, geometry and logic beside the poetic work its, which it published under its civil name Charles Lutwidge Dodgson as Tutor at the clerical Christian Church college in Oxford. On 14 January 1998 its day of death found itself to the hundredth mark. The play of the logic, which is present hereby for the first time in German language, is the only work, in that the linguistic fantasy Carrolls with its efforts to introduce to the fundamental ideas of the logic merges. Carroll makes philosophical problems by everyday language plays and fantastic examples visibly and easily understandable. The Metaphoric and idioms of the examples remind of Alice behind the mirrors, in which the logic of the game of chess gives the narrative stand. The fact that this work extremely popular to Carrolls lifetimes did not appear so far in Germany shows that Carroll in this country is not noticed yet in its whole working. It's handling the enthusiasm for the logic has a tension, which proceeds rarely for laymen from this discipline.
