Alfred Leslie confronts the observer with larger-than-life portrait.
Leslie put the individual attributes of the respective person into the focus.

1946 studies at the Art Students League.
1946-1948 at Tony Smith at the New York University.
Under influence of the abstract expressionism he issues into the fifties his pictures.

He turns 1961 himself the figurative painting to.
Big formats and biblical allegories belong to the expression of his pictures.
The classical painting becomes irony.

He turns some films end the fifties.  For example, Pull My Daisy" (1959)

Since his first showing of 1951 his factories show is frequent.

1966 shattered a studio-fire many of his works.

1976 promotes the museum of Fine Arts in Boston a big showing of his factories.
