Introduction to Internet art exhibition Joseph Beuys (born: 1921 in Kleve/GERMANY , DEA:1986 in Düsseldorf/GERMANY) and Richard Lindner (born: 1901 in Hamburg, dead:1978 in New York)

Richard Lindner (born 1901 in Hamburg, died 1978 in New York), after studying at the Academy of Fine Arts in Nürnberg, he was a master student of Professor Max Körner.
In 1933 he emigrated
from the Nazis,
first to Paris
and the
U.S. in 1941. In
1948, he acquired
American citizenship.
He was
influenced by
the American pop
scene had exhibitions
in New York,
London and in many
European cities
and also
represented at
the documenta 4 and
6 of his works.
At an exhibition of
American artists in
the Museum of
Modern Art Jahre1963
in New York
showed Lindner
its exhibits in
addition to works by
Roy
Lichtenstein, Claes
Oldenburg, James
Rosenquist and Andy
Warhol.
His admiration was the French painter Fernand Léger and the German painter Oskar Schlemmer.
In 1956 he was
at the Pratt Institute
in New York lecturer
in design. As
a visiting professor
in 1965,
he held lectures
at the College of
Fine Arts in Hamburg.
On the death of
the artist, the New
York Times
wrote on
18 April 1978:
"From
picture to picture,
he gave
the term 'femme
fatale'
new meaning.
His women
are the personified animal
men-eaters.
