Wichtige Angaben zu den nachstehenden Arbeiten von Picasso

Der Verleger Teriade, 4, Rue Férou (6e), Paris, hat von 1937 bis 1960 insgesamt 26 VERVE-Ausgaben (Nr. 1 - 38, davon 12 Doppelnummern) editiert; und zwar mit Originalgraphiken berühmter Klassiker der Moderne u.a. von Braque, Chagall, Léger, Masson, Matisse und Picasso.  Die nachstehenden Heliogravüren wurden 1954  mit der VERVE-Ausgabe Nr. 29-30 editiert und von dem Drucker Draeger Frères gefertigt.

Bei den vorstehenden Exponaten ist die Größe des Bildes so gestaltet, dass die Proportionen für einen fertigen Bilderrahmen von 50x40 cm passend sind. Das Bild wird in diesen Fertigrahmen eingelegt oder leicht befestigt, da die Abstände seitlich, oben und unten genau richtig sind. Sie brauchen also kein besonderes Passepartout und auch keine besondere Rahmung.

HELIOGRAVÜRE

Verfahren zur Herstellung von Ätzungen auf Kupferplatten für den
Handpressen-Tiefdruck (Kupferdruck).Bei diesem Verfahren, das im Gegensatz zu den original-graphischen
Verfahren, wie >Kupferstich oder >Radierung, auf photographischer
Grundlage beruht, wird ein Diapositiv auf chromiertes Gelatinepigmentpapier
kopiert. Diese Pigmentopike wird auf eine mit angeschmolzenem Asphaltstaub
bedeckte Kupferplatte übertragen, die anschließend je nach der Dicke des
beim Auswaschen entstehenden Gelatinereliefs, verschieden geätzt wird.
